Equine Orthopaedics – An exact diagnosis is indispensable for the successful treatment of lameness. To achieve this, we conduct meticulous clinical examinations with gait analyses (on hand, lunge and possibly under the rider) on hard and/or soft ground, on a straight and/or on a circle.
The cause of lameness can also be further identified through diagnostic anaesthesia (local anaesthetics of the affected limb), X-rays and ultrasound.
Naturally, at our equine orthopaedics department, we will create an individual therapy and exercise plan for your horse. Additionally, if requested, we will provide appropriate shoeing advice, naturally in close cooperation with your trusted farrier or a specialist recommended by us.
